At CGI Chicago, dreams become a reality for hundreds of children as we continue to offer affordable camping experiences and educational programs for children across the state of Illinois each year!
For over 40 years we have been giving Jewish children their chance to smile - regardless of their family’s financial situation or Jewish affiliation!
But then...
As soon as Summer 2019 was over, we started getting ready for Summer 2020. Early registration was already in full swing when COVID-19 hit. After over 40 years of providing Jewish children with unforgettable memories, camp suddenly seemed impossible....
In the end we decided to open not just ONE but TWO camps, running concurrently, to ensure that not a single Jewish child in the Chicagoland area would be left behind.
So this year we have our first ever CGI Out-of-the-Box virtual camp on Zoom, with crafts, games, shows, music and fun for campers in their own homes.
And we have a CGI in-person camp, where campers enjoy a wide array of fun activities while keeping the mandatory safety precautions in mind.
We are proud to say CGI of Summer 2020 is proving to be the most memorable one yet!
Nothing will stand in our way to continue bringing smiles to the Jewish campers of CGI - And you can be a part of that!
To help us in these trying times, 3 groups of generous donors have come forward with a proposal to help us thrive this year. Each group has pledged to donate $10,000 to our CGI, provided that it is matched by an equal donation from you - our community! For 30 hours only, your dollar will have 4x the impact!
